Good news for Estate Agents in Chippenham, with the new ultra-fast, electrified railway being laid as we speak (more info here) and to be completed in 2017, which will cut 20 per cent off the time it takes to travel between London and the South West. More and more people are expected to purchase their homes in Chippenham and the surrounding areas thanks to the prospect of being able to travel from here to London in just under an hour.
“The shorter rail journey will bring forward people’s decision to move here. Also, it will encourage those Londoners who can’t afford Bath, to move to Chippenham, which is 10 minutes closer to London on the train. Yes, the political leaders of the West Country are hailing the long-term economic benefits of faster trains.
